WHAT IS MARSHFIELD COMMUNITY BROADBAND?

 

Here in Marshfield we have never had a great choice in internet providers. There have been comments locally about poor service and poor performance.

 

The Marshfield Community Broadband Project has been designed to help the residents of Marshfield get the best service available to them, and take them through any changes if they wish to make them.

To improve this we are working with Zen Internet and acting as an agent for them to support the village.
 

No matter which service provider you choose, in Marshfield, you will be using the current BT network. Be this through BT directly or another provider. This is because the other providers are just reselling the BT service and, in turn, suffer from typical issues such as loss of connectivity and poor performance.

 

In order to help solve this problem, Zen Internet have installed their own equipment in Marshfield exchange. This means when you sign up to Zen, through Marshfield Community Broadband, you will be breaking away from the current BT network onto an entirely new, un-congested, connection and still retain your Marshfield phone number.

 

For every connection made to Zen through the Marshfield Community Broadband, a donation will be given that supports charities within the community.
